Point Clear is the home of the Marriott Grand Hotel Golf Club & Spa Resort. A major Point Clear attraction, Marriott Grand is a part of the Robert Trent Jones Collection of golf resorts and has been ranked the best among Marriott hotels. This resort was once a Confederate hospital, a garrison for Alabama's 21^st Infantry and also a training site for Marines during World War II.

Point Clear is also known for tranquility. Since its development in the 1840s, it has been a popular destination on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. Point Clear Historic District features over two dozen homes that were built between 1835 and 1930. These homes can be seen from the public promenade that runs along the bayside. One Victorian home built in 1897 is the operational base of Punta Clara Candy Kitchen, a family owned business that offers handmade sweets.
